AG Picks: NFL Fantasy Draft Picks by Round
AG Picks is here to give you your fantasy and betting picks for the upcoming sports season. As you prepare for your fantasy football draft, here are our top value picks by round, based on 12-team Half-PPR leagues:
Round 1: Breece Hall (RB, New York Jets)
Why: Finished last season as the RB4 overall and led all RBs in targets despite playing with a bottom-tier quarterback and an injury-riddled offensive line. While he had a limited role early in the season due to a torn ACL, Hall enters 2024 as the Jets' workhorse RB with minimal competition. With an improved offensive line and a healthy Aaron Rodgers under center, Hall has first-overall upside. If you're considering taking him at the 1.01 spot in Standard/Half PPR drafts, we wouldn’t stop you.Round 2: Travis Etienne Jr (RB, Jacksonville Jaguars)
Why: One of the most mispriced fantasy football RBs in the early rounds. Etienne finished the 2023 season as the PPR RB2 behind a struggling offensive line. Entering 2024, he's in his prime with elite rushing ability, receiving upside, and no competition in the backfield. We believe he should be drafted closer to the 1st/2nd round turn instead of the 2nd/3rd.Round 3: Josh Jacobs (RB, Green Bay Packers)
Why: A true three-down back with pass-catching ability in one of the NFL’s most electric offenses. With no visible competition behind him due to AJ Dillon's injury, Jacobs is primed for a bounce-back year behind a competent offensive line and solid quarterback play in Green Bay.Round 4: Trey McBride (TE, Arizona Cardinals)
Why: A serious contender to finish as the TE1 this season. In eight games with Kyler Murray last year, McBride averaged 14.85 points per game and had five top-7 finishes at the position. After taking over the lead TE role, McBride has shown he can be an elite fantasy option.Round 5: Rashee Rice (WR, Kansas City Chiefs)
Why: Emerging as Patrick Mahomes' top target, Rice is a fantastic value pick in the 5th round. With an aging Travis Kelce likely to see a reduced workload, Rice could easily outperform his ADP, especially given his impressive target share and PPR points per game from last season.Round 6: Kyler Murray (QB, Arizona Cardinals)
Why: Despite going late in drafts, Murray offers significant upside. In the second half of last season, he averaged 20.8 points per game and now adds a top WR prospect in Marvin Harrison Jr. With Trey McBride at TE, Murray has a path to overall QB1 potential.Round 7: Jayden Reed (WR, Green Bay Packers)
Why: Reed should play a crucial role in Green Bay's offense, both in receiving and rushing. He finished 4th in fantasy points per snap last season and had 10 total touchdowns. With Watson’s injury concerns, Reed could easily outperform his 7th-round ADP.Round 8: Jayden Daniels (QB, Washington Commanders)
Why: A dual-threat QB with both passing and rushing upside, Daniels should be treated as a top-12 fantasy QB option in 2024. He’s surrounded by a strong supporting cast, including two solid backs and Terry McLaurin as his top target.Round 9 and Beyond: Khalil Shakir (WR, Buffalo Bills)
Why: With the departures of Diggs and Davis, Shakir remains a key part of the Bills' offense, which has over 300 available targets. He led the team in receiving yards from Week 11 onward with an elite 87.5% catch rate. Despite these factors, Shakir is still going late in drafts, making him a great value pick.
