Why Betting Across Books Pays Off - Real Examples 🤑

See just how much odds can vary. Dont leave money on the table.

You’ve probably noticed that the odds for the same line can vary from book to book. But, just how much can they vary? Today, I wanted to dive into a few examples found from Spro’s Odds Screen that prove the value of line shopping.

Example 1: MLB Moneyline

Here we have a moneyline bet, the most popular market in sports.

Pirates Moneyline, 6/28

Take a look at what Pokerstars is offering Pirates moneyline at relative to the other books. If you placed the moneyline bet at Pokerstars instead of theScore or Bet99, you would be missing out on a potential 25% increase in payout! You would be leaving money on the table for absolutely no reason 😒

Example 2: MLB Spread

Sticking to the same sport and game, here we can see an example of missing out on value with a spread market

Pirates -1.5 Spread, 6/28

BetMGM has this Pirates spread line for +210, whereas you could get that exact same line at BallyBet or Fanduel for +235 or +230, respectively, resulting in a 10%+ higher payout. Again, this is another case where you’d be leaving money on the table for no reason.

It goes back to the analogy we’ve used in the past. Why would you buy a bag of apples for $10 when you could get them for $5? You’re just letting yourself get ripped off.

These variations were all found with Spro’s Odds Screen, and took less than 5 seconds and a few clicks.
